Midfield Niasse. Swerve.
Yep, god forbid we should trust Koeman or Walsh.....let's hope you can put them straight on the rest of the transfers before they make any more mistakes.

Midfield Niasse. Swerve.
People simply see Villa and automatically assume that all of their players were dross because of how the season eventually panned out.Such a simplistic viewpoint.
It's different when the Villa player played virtually every week, whereas Cleverley was barely used for United. Completely different kettle of fish.People simply see Villa and automatically assume that all of their players were dross because of how the season eventually panned out.
Should they simply stay away because he played for a dire villa? Oh and we signed Tom Cleverely and he must be great as he played for Manure.
His sole purpose is to disrupt the other team's momentum, so if we are trying to close out a game he'd be decent enough to come off the bench and do so.Them tackles/interceptions though...
It's all relative.
The point is that people automatically make assumptions based on where a player is coming from; in that degree it's pretty much the same. It's different when the Villa player played virtually every week, whereas Cleverley was barely used for United. Completely different kettle of fish.
Some staggering opinions in this thread bordering on snobbery because we have this magic "100M" to spend.
If Koeman and/or Walsh want Gueye then shoudnt that be good enough for us? At least for now whilst we give them a chance to show what they can do.
As for this he must be rubbish because he got relegated stuff, that is ridiculous. Off the top of my head Roy Keane, Fabrizio Ravanelli, Les Ferdinand and Juninho were all relegated. Are these all rubbish players who we would not have had at Everton in their day?
Such a simplistic viewpoint.
I don't know where this stuff comes from, as far as I'm aware that was never the case . I think perhaps mixing up us bidding on Vertout, before he went to Villa. Kante's stats were the best in Europe when we went for him. That said, I'm sure he would have been scouted by us. We're heavy into analytics / stats, so who his stats would have stood out.
We tended to buy people who were specialists in their areas, but who perhaps didn't have the all round game some others might have. Kante was the tackler, Albrighton was signed purely on the back of his crossing stats and work rate, Vardy pace and work rate. If you look round the team, each player has flaws in their game... but most of them excel at a certain aspect.
Couldn't care less about him going, lazy player who always looks like a yellow card waiting to happen when things don't go his way on the pitch
Not bothered about losing him per se
Bang average, with no discernible feature other than apparently descent stats which frankly never transposed to meaningful or effective performances.
It's no big loss, would have been nice to have recouped what we paid but meh.
I saw an article that referred to him as influential.
funny.
^ I think they mis-spelt ineffective
Couldn't care less if Gana leaves, he's the epitome of why stats don't win you matches. ..
I won't be at all sad to see him go. I've always found it slightly baffling when people say he had a good season. Sure, he can tackle well but it's worth nothing if you give the ball away constantly. I didn't like his attitude and despised his shooting.
