If Martinez went.....

Christ on a bike.
In fairness boss, i said I like Eddie Howe, but thought he had a similar stubborness to Roberto, so would not be suitable! I cannot see how anyone could reasonably object to Hughes (based on the way he has Stoke playing) or Pardew (Palace have been a revelation since he joined them). the only negative is that I genuinely do not believe Pardew would leave Palace to join us! hughes has learned his managerial trade now and has a good balance between defensive workrate and attacking flair! He doesnt seem the nicest of people, but we dont need a nice manager, we need a savvy one!

People keep referring to Martinez' first season as the benchmark, but that team were extremely well coached in the defensive arts by Voldermort and when Bobby gave them free reign to charge forward, they were superb! However, that defensive solidity is not something Roberto or his team seem to be able to maintain! The end product being that we now resemble Keegans Newcastle! I fully agree with all of Bobby's supporters that we remain exhilarating going forward, but any entertainment gained from watching us go forward is entirely swept away by the frustration and enger that is produced by seeing us waste all that attacking flair due to our defensive naivety! I would support Bobby 100% if he played the flair stuff, got us ahead, then made tactical changes to ensure we retained that lead, but he does not! That suggests naivety, stubbornness or stupidity, none of which are qualities i desire in a manager!

I despise both Pardew and Hughes and wouldn't want either of the shobgites anywhere near our club.
