What's happened at Chelsea also happened under Conte and Mourinho so it's gotten to the point for me that the blame lies with the players to a serious extent. Conte and Sarri have never had issues like this before either. Honestly Sarri might be the most exciting appointment we could realistically make. My guess is he heads back to Italy though.

Any manager who does not emphasise on counter is bound to fail. Simply no other approach will work with the quality we have.

Fancy names like Arteta serve no purpose for us with the players we have. Just nostalgic dreaming nothing else.

Ottmar Hitzfeld became Dortmund manager 1991 when they were struggling near the bottom of the league it took him 4 years to move on all the dross he had, before they then won the league and the structure was laid for future success. Now if you asked Evertonians if they would like Hitzfeld as our manager in the first 3 years in charge at Dortmund they probably have said no way, he's crap, 3 years at Dortmund and won sweet FA. But if you asked them from his 4th year onwards they'd snap your hand for him. It shows given time and resources how things can change.
