If Silva is sacked - who could/should we get?

I dunno, maybe we should put this thread on ice for Derby week and focus solely on supporting the team and manager?

With such a big week afoot I'm not sure threads like this are particularly helpful

I'm not saying close or it anything, maybe just a gentleman's (And ladies) agreement to stop speculating about a replacement for Silva when he has such a big crunch week ahead of him?

One game at a time, the derby pales into even further insignificance if we don’t get a result tonight.

Depends on the performance tonight

If we don't win but play well, then I'll happily excuse the result if we then go on to beat Liverpool. That's the more important game

I’d say tonight is more important as we need to put more distance between ourselves and the last relegation place.

The derby is a nothing match, apart from the chance to derail the neighbors.

In truth, I’m expecting nothing other than a good hiding based on our recent form, but you never know.

The gap between us on the pitch now is as big as it’s ever been. Even if we fluke a win it’s just nothing more than an underdog pulling off a massive shock result.

Mourinho: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...interview-next-job-will-club-right-structure/

It's behind a pay wall I'm afraid, but the title of the article is:
Jose Mourinho exclusive interview: 'My next job will be at a club with the right structure - I don't want conflict'

Is that us?

He single handedly create conflicts by voicing his disgust at players in media, by name, bordering on mockery at times. It’s his DNA, never will change, the only change is the different person at the receiving end.
He used to do this against rival managers during his younger days but as he ages, his poison tongue shift towards his own club, own staff, own player, including his own medical staff at Chelsea.

Sh*t stirring manager.

Don’t want him. Not very good either if you see how solsjaer outperform him in every aspect.

Not a popular opinion and I don't like the bloke but I actually think Rodgers would have suited us, the reds connection is a stumbling block but so many say Rafael and his connection is a lot more

Rodgers would of been great, he is a very good manager, but the Liverpool connection ends it. Im just gutted they have got him, they will be a good shout of top 6 with him

Leicester have hired David Brent.
They are saying he “restored his reputation” at Celtic.

He failed to get through the Champions League group stages and has a win percentage of 69%.

Neil Lennon got through the group stages twice and has a win percentage of 70%.

Why is the media so up Brendan Rodgers rear? I just don’t understand it.
