Its funded by the Government who owns and runs everything Suits, the shops on the street = government ran. The pizza place = government ran.

Tourism replaced the dependency on the old Soviet Union in the nineties. They also have loads of sugar, which is nice. And oil somewhere. Tourism is big bucks though and provides a lot of money for the coffers.

In fairness they run a tight ship and are nice people. I take things as I find em.

i like the jobs that people have stopping cars with space in them for others to get in and journey, 80% of all cars i see have just one person in them, and when its rush hour (hours!!!) especially in town and at bridge foot, a few hundred cars all with one person in each quickly removes the novelty.

Thanks for the support Rob, you must be rubbing off. In fairness though, the Cubans have nothing against America but the trade embargo makes life hard for them, and flouts UN law. Apparently.

CT. The beer is excellent. Three types - Crystal, Bucanero and Mayabe. All good within their own way and all different.

The car share thing is a very good idea, except when they pounce out on you trying to get you to stop. I have a red plate so its not compulsory. I do stop for fit ones in little skirts though.

Hey, I have no qualms with Cuba, Castro made his mistake a long time ago when he let the Soviets try to put ICBM's on his island. He has done nothing really bad of late.
