Still think we may be in for one more signing before the window closes. Might pick up a striker on the cheap. Not a big name but perhaps like a Dickov who was released by Man City today.

Don't think he'd be able to adapt he's game from that pedestrian pace to the premiership at such a late stage in his career. plus he's very lightweight and would probably get kicked of the park

that's a very fair comment but remember the korean style of play. kick, rush, pressure and physical. esp when they are playing at home. recoba dealt with it no problem and controlled the match.

re.. free transfer hence we could afford wages... the wage pyramid seems set at goodison so unless recoba is a closet blue it will never happen!

On this whole striker thing. The more I think about what 'kind' of striker would fit in the more I think we need a veteran 'stand up' guy like Smith was and not another pacey one. We got the pacey guys and Anichibe may be our 'stand-up' (sits at the top of the box with his back to the goal and either turns and shots or feeds an onrushing pacey guy). guy but maybe needs some more time ar at least someone to help teach him.

My point precisely FCConnecticut. We have a striker that fits every category really, the bustling, strong centre forward in Vic, we have the young, enigmatic pacey striker in Vaughan and a top finisher/poacher in AJ. I have a feeling we could do with some more muscle up top but also a bit more experience which is why someone like Vassell or Yakubu would suit us perfectly.

True.. we need a targetplayer up there. Someone who can be the muscle... like Ferguson was
