I suppose for the benefit of this forum, a wool would be termed somebody NOT from Liverpool. Somebody from say The Wirral, Wigan and all other surrounding areas of Liverpool. Defo Chester and all of Wales.

Anyone who believes in aliens and UFO's is about as naive as anyone who believes in God.

Both are theories without any kind of undeniable proof.

In essence, if you criticise religious folk yet believe in Extra Terrestrial life/ UFO's, you are a hypocrite, as you believe in something that is unproven.

I am open minded on both subjects however.

That all depends on your criteria for 'proof', to play devil's advocate, how can you prove that all of the furniture in your house exists?

I don't want to get drawn into a philosophical debate, however it's something of an annoyance when people undermine religion yet believe there are Aliens on distant planets and UFO's visiting our planet.

A UFO enthusiast will tell you they have seen 'proof', a Christian/Muslim/Jew will tell you the same.

Objectively, what they have probably seen does not provide conclusive proof of a God or Alien life.

Yet religion gets a bad reputation.

I don't like that.

A UFO can be seen everyday.

It is just something that you don't recognise.

UFOs and aliens are not one and the same.

Most are satellies, weather balloons and other man-made flying gizmos.

My dad saw a genuine UFO back in the 70s. Reported it to the MOD and his story was corroborated by them as someone else had reported it from miles away, giving the opposite trajectory.

It even made it into Project Blue Book apparently.

Obv cold war spyplane (see Goats russian invasion thread).

It would be foolish of me to believe that were alone in a universe that we cant comprehend the size of but all this THEYRE HERE stuff makes me snigger a bit.

The media, ze internet and spare time are to blame.

Wrong so wrong . You understand and comprehend to a certain extent the infinite size and possibility of the universe but struggle to accept that socalled beings from that universe may have already made their presence felt ? You were nearly there then ...........go on I know you want too .

Its not like in a film " thhhheeeeeerrrreee heeeereeeeee ! "

I knew it wouldnt be long before some religious nut would angle in on things . Go and read your bible or talk to yourself or whatever you people do . We in the real world deal in facts not fiction

Religious Nut?

Facts?

I'd be offended if what you were talking about actually had an ounce of fact, or proof.

I'm not a religious nut, I'm on the fence, I just think before you start trying to indoctrinate everyone here into YOUR opinions you should step back and actually understand what you are saying isn't scientific or factual in any way, shape or form.

You have no proof, neither does religion, you are as bad as eachother.

The best proof that there is Intelligent Life in Outer Space is the fact it hasn't come here. Well, it can't hide forever - one day we will overhear it. - Arthur C. Clarke (y)

i worked at a place in sydney where they were building some huge concrete dish, it's one of these places that they are constantly sending signals out into space and listening for replies.
this 'arl lady in the canteen who had gone there when she was a kid instantly said

"ooh, a youngster from the old country, i bet your grandmothers worrying about you. how long ar you working here for ? "

r.b.o.g. "about a month"

"well you come in here every day love when you get here and i'll give you a full english breakfast, then come back at dinner time and i'll give you your dinner, now you tell your gran that your being looked after"

a random act of kindness from a complete stranger.
