2024/25 Iliman Ndiaye

His performance v Bournemouth reminded me a lot of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Not rapid but great individual skill and tenacity. Hopefully he can be as productive.
That's a pretty decent comparison to be fair.
I don't understand the Pienaar comparisons as Pienaar never really carried the ball like N'diaye does and Pienaar i felt had a lot more tricks in his locker and was always looking for the 1-2 (which maybe if N'Diaye had Baines behind him, he'd do the same)

Pienaars ability to link and play around corners set him apart, really unique to see a wide player affect a teams pattern of play like he did. Fantastic footballer

Will always be one of my favorites.
His numbers were never really the best, (he was often the pass before the pass), but he made everything look easy and was imaginative on the ball, which in football as a whole has been dying out over the past 7-8 years for athleticism and tactical play.

He does have that kind of style about him. Low sense of gravity, slick feet, progressive in the way he moves with the ball and brings others into play. He's just a proper footy player, makes a massive difference having someone like him.

It’s just a nice change to watch someone playing for us that actually has a better first touch than me and my mates used to have … I’m sick of watching doucs run and not be able to control of kick a footy

I think it’s unfair to think that he can’t do that at this point.

Playing with baines , another actual decent footballer is very different to playing with Ashley not so …

The Baines/Pienaar partnership is probably my favourite memory as an Everton fan along with the way Andrei played in his debut season and Rooney's break through. The intelligence and accuracy of their combination play was genuinely as good as anything you would see at Barca, City or Real Madrid. Baines was a complete baller.

If you want my best

He had underwhelmed at Marseille, and only produced a couple of good seasons olin the championship. Talent was obvious but jury was still out whether the temperament and key ingredients to make an impact in the premier league.

Many players shine in the champiosnship then struggle in the premier league. Marseille were keen to get rid after a season.
Maupay was a similar gamble at a similar price range. Some cut it, some don’t, very few shine.
So the reason no one wanted to buy him was he underwhelmed at Marseille, getting 3 goals in 5 assists in 1600 minutes, which is one every 200 minutes? Marseille obviously wanted to buy him 12 months earlier at almost exactly the same price.

Doesnt sound like a good reason at all. And tell me then, do you call every player we and other teams sign a gamble? If so, why do you call it a gamble, rather than a synonym, "signing'.

He has a low center of gravity for some reason and that allows him to change direction much quicker than defenders. He also keeps the ball very close to his feet all the time. His close control of the ball is phenominal. Generally he seems to be the best bit of transfer business by Thelwell yet, How he ended up here is baffling.

To be clear… you by laptop from PC world for £1000 you are likely getting what you paid for, if you spend £150 on one from Temu it’s a gamble. It might well work and be perfect it’s a good buy, but it might it’s bit to cheap to be a quality product.

Beto a gamble.
Harry Kane not a gamble.
Hope that clears things up!
Thank you
