2024/25 Iliman Ndiaye

He is counting down the days till the takeover is complete..

I was excited when we signed him and told the forum they'd like him because of how well he runs with the ball, and that's exactly how it's going so far.
Well done mate. I seem to recall sheff United fans saying we'd enjoy him. But they're so sheet it was hard to take them seriously

Only managed to catch 20 minutes of first half. Seemed utterly wasted stuck out on left wing with little or no support whilst McNeil was given free rein to wander around behind DCL

He rinsed trippier time and time again. When livramento came on, he switched to the right and started rinsing Hall. It was a good ploy as it got hall booked. Issue was, we so rarely had the ball for him to do it.

He was left unsupported a fair few times when he did get up the pitch, as well. I really like him because he's positive and has good feet.

When was the last time we had full backs overlapping, showing serious support and a willingness to get to the byline?

Young and Garner were solid yesterday no doubt about it. But as an attacking threat? I think Garner passed the halfway line once when he put that cracking ball in for Doucoure to score his offside header.

Apart from that....zilch.

It's why I keep complaining as Ndiaye is having to dribble his way out of trouble 20 yards in his own half which is just ridiculous. The few times he did do that as well, he looked up and there was no one within 20 yards of him. They were all just stationary, too worried about their own positions.

The attacking set up in this side is non existent, they simply don't work on anything at all when it comes to attacking drills.

It's the self fulfilling prophecy. We don't commit bodies forward incase we get counter attacked. But because we don't commit bodies forward we loose the ball often and get counter attacked. No attacking player has any chance of truly imposing themselves on the match in this set up.

Looked very matey with a few of the Newcastle players at the end, lots of hugs and high fives, has he got ex-playing mates there?

Hope the horse punchers don’t come sniffing around for him in the future.
