2024/25 Iliman Ndiaye

What about skilliman as a striker, Harrison on left and jasper on right (if we get the fella from Lyon in Jesper as a CAM)?

Don’t know if DCL and Beto can do what we need them to anymore and giving ndiyae more time with the ball seems like a plus, maybe he can act as false 9 with someone else like jesper or god forbid doucs providing supporting runs

He is a number ten /supoort striker and I hope Moyes sees it before its too late! I certainly hope when Mcneil is back Ndiaye goes there he can cause damage centrally currently he takes people on often in our own half. We put him on the wing because we don't have enough quality its a joke. Then Harrison who is a left winger on the right or Lindstrom who is a ten on the right then wonder why it does not work!

For me a sign of failed recruitment, if you want to attack with pace over the wing you only have Ndiaye there that offers that and Lindström to some extent. In the same time you would need him as a central player to create and finish.

McNeil is an effective player despite clear visible limitations, another level comparing to Harrison or Doucoure, but also doesn't offer that pace and dribbling ability to take on one vs ones or create something out of nothing.

I understood Dyche to move McNeil centrally and keep Ndiaye on the wing for these reasons. Trust in Moyes that he gets that player profile in.

Ndiaye would be excellent in the position he plays right now if he had a full back or other players in the team to link up with.

Play him as a number 10? Fine but he'll still have no one to pass to.

To easily crowded out of games currently because we've so little quality up front that sides can isolate/double up on him to close him down damned near fully. Needs a player or two to share the burden and battle for space alongside. Looking into what we have in midfield maybe McNeil and Garner are the best we have to move the ball around quick enough to create some chances.

Just one other player that would be half as eager to get on the ball as he is and we`d be a lot less soft in the final third.

If you’re another team scouting us, it’s clear all you need to do is descend on Ndiaye because he’s the only threat. No one on Everton moves to give him an outlet and he eventually gets dispossessed.
Doesn't get dispossessed that often....just hasn't many passing options open to him therefore gives a simple ball. He needs support and players running off him

He is decent on the wing but gets crowded out, agree he would be better with more runners and an attacking left back but still he could do more damage in a ten.

Docuoure is offering nothing on the ball he is pressing which is good but our attacks break down as his passing is so poor and for me he has lost a yard and his physicality has dropped on the last year, add that to him now having no confidence in front of goal and playing him in the ten is one reason we striggle to score. Start Ndiaye in the ten/split striker!!!
