2024/25 Iliman Ndiaye

I’m mixed on Doku. He’s got a lot of razzle dazzle trying to juke the defender. But he’s a bit predictable always driving down deep in the left corner and causing himself to get into trouble and isolated. And I don’t see him as a strong finisher. He’s only sitting on three goals. Ndiaye made himself shine under Dyche and a system that didn’t encourage a lot of attack.
In some ways I actually think our style of play has suited him (to a point, obviously). Being the main man and given a bit of a free role with other people there to do the donkey work, and being tasked with carrying the ball up the pitch has allowed him to show off what he's very good at, and made him hugely appreciated by fans. Of course i'm sure he'd rather be surrounded by other top class attackers don't get me wrong, but whether he'd have impressed as much in a side where he had a bit less freedom to express himself and was being asked to link up more rather than showing off his individual ability is another question.

He's been excellent for us and I look forward to seeing a lot more of him, I hope we do get to see more of him linking up etc next year.

Fantastic when he has the ball at his feet. He’s just hardly ever in the game though. Whether that’s the players around him I don’t know.

He has some great moments, rather than being a great player.

Mykolenko behind and Doucoure inside.

Cant really judge him so much on his team play with those two.

I keep repeating but i want to see if he goes up a gear when hes next to Alcaraz. They both have tricks and can carry the ball well.

Must be soul destroying for both of them pushed out to the left with no one inside them to play one-two's with etc.

Theyre both best (if on the left) coming inside and bypassing Doucoure.

He’s struggled to make an impact against the CL teams in April, that’s something he have to develop toward.

Sure he will be grand next couple weeks Vs Ipswich and Southampton.
This is exactly it. He’s a decent player but there’s loads of them in the league now. Look at Eze’s goal for palace at Wembley today, most teams above us have a couple of players capable of that.

He struggled in France, started well for us but I think we’ve overrated him a bit.

He’s still relatively young mate and in his first season in the PL, you forget he has development to go and he’s in a learning curve, he’s had a great first season. He’s our top scorer.

Think he’s a real talent mate yep.

Just think our fans massively overrate him because of how lacking of any ability we have been.

Most sides have two of him is my point. A lot arguably have better versions too.

Palace proving my point here, both their wide lads are on his level/higher. Shouts about Man City etc. just seem delusional in my opinion. Really talented with the ball at his feet but deny him that and he’s not sure how to be effective yet.

Not sure its fair to judge him coming back from a injury and on the wing for me he is a split striker. Also he has been a real threat in some games against the bigger teams City away, the home derby and Spurs(if you consider them a top team) come to mind. We do need pace on the flanks though, desperately.
