I'm gonna stick my head above the parapet here....

'We did not panic when the pressure was on, and we dealt with all the crosses they could throw at us, which is not usually our strong point.' Arsene Wenger, 2012.

Sums up Everton at the moment; Can't even put in a decent cross against a team who's own gaffer admits that it is their s**test quality!

So much for the School of Science, eh?

More like the School of Home Economics now, doing all the practical and run of the mill stuff (sometimes shockingly bad, which makes it even worse).

We rely far too much on Baines getting a decent ball in the box for us to create goal scoring chances. So when he doesn't we are stuffed.

Our lack of movement of the ball is the worst I have ever seen, not one player passes the ball then moves to create space or want the return.

Very pedestrian, slow and one dimensional. Bored!

Agree with all of this. Baines looks really tired to me as well.

We barely ever take a shot either which annoys me. Only Drenthe tends to have a crack.

This.....big time

--------Yet there's still people having a go at moyes for tonight and every time we play actually....Expecting that we should be beating arsenal?? Why?? ------

Er, City, Chelsea, Spurs. Why wouldn't you expect another win against a team above us.

It's all down to attitude and desire.

I hate to get off topic here. However, going through our recent league fixtures I came across a depressing statistic:

13 goals in the last 17 league games (Dec-March). That is also one less goal than Yakubu's season tally for Blackburn, who only joined two months prior to December.

Apparently, in one stage during this period we were "in form". The only game we scored more than one goal against was a team under the revered management of an acronym.

I am now clinging to the glory days of Jermaine Beckford. Even as pish as he was, he would often latch on to the ball sniffing for one aim: a shot on goal.

JERMAINE ****ING BECKFORD!!! He scored 8 goals league goals last year. Imagine having that type of goal tally again... Who do you have your money on to possibly first reach 50% of Jermaine's 10/11 tally this season? Our contenders are:

1. Leighton Baines, the man who converts the penalties that are never awarded,
2. Leon Osman, the one who plays when Cahill pulls up lame,
3. Apostolos Vellios, the man who Moyes forgot and hasn't sniffed consistent game time since becoming our top goal-scorer,
4. Victor Anichebe, the man I cannot even fathom how even became our equal-top goal-scorer,
5. Royston Drenthe, the man who gets subbed before he can have any more of those damned shots on goal,

Facts... statistics... cannot comprehend... confusion... HELP?!? Failure.

And say out loud that, for my money, our football under Moyes is the worst I've ever seen.

Worse than some of the latter-day Kendall stuff, worse than under Walt.

Lack of quality against a better side simples!!!

There was there was nothing defensive about that performance.

They tried, just not good enough! Were all huff and no puff. Without some cash for fresh faces there is not much moyes can do

We're all huff and puff because of Moyes. If the player's don't have it in their locker, then , firstly, who bought them here and secondly, who should be coaching it into their locker?

Moyes has bought slow predictable players who play slow predictable football. I'm not having the excuse that we can't afford to succeed against top teams. Swansea took on Arsenal and beat them playing better football. They have pacy, inventive forwards who take a few chances going forward. They didn't cost a fortune.

I want Moyes to succeed, but he isn't going to until we can play more than one way. There's nothing wrong with being able to grind out results, the problem is that that is all we can do.

When was the last time we properly battered a team? I'm not talking about having lots of possession, I mean creating lots of clear cut chances, opening teams up with pace and movement and scoring goals (plural).

That's what I want to see us move towards, I don't see it happening.

Generally: the last 20 minutes against Blackpool at home last season

Totally: Hull at home 2010.

Worse than Walker?
Worse than Smith?

I think not

Walker was without doubt the most desperate times I have ever witnessed, we had Unsworth Left wing ffs

I was thinking the other day about how much chaos a Jelavic-Beckford partnership would have caused... Both goal scorers, alas we shall never know.
