I'm a lurker being forced from the shadows, I guess. I really enjoy reading this forum and do so daily. Have been for years now. I just haven't ever felt like I had much to contribute to the conversation. So I don't. That may change in the future, but for now having the account keeps track of my place in threads and allows me to ignore some of the more... tedious... content. Please don't delete me!

Since I've come this far already... as for me, I'm an American in my mid-30s. Been following Everton since the 2014/2015 season when, desperate to fill the gaping hole in my life left by yet another World Cup ending, I learned that NBC was airing the Premier League over here. I watched a couple of games opening weekend, but once I saw Everton (2-2 v a (I believe) new promoted Leicester) something just clicked, and I've watched nearly every minute played since. Got my wife on board too. And my 3 year old son is coming along nicely.

All-time favorite Everton player: Steven Naismith. Fight me.

I too am a long time lurker, too shy to post. As a lady of more advanced years I don't fit the usual profile of a poster on a fan forum however I enjoy reading the site. My first game was the 1966 cup final albeit only saw it on the telly. There I've made a post please don't exclude me!

Odd timing for a first post to say the least :coffee:

Welcome. Share your reminscences. It's the closest to glory many will get, sadly.

Hope you dip your toe into posting a few more times, once you get over the initial hurdle it can be fun swapping views with others. As a lady of advancing years myself I sometimes find the circle of people I regularly converse with offline a tad restrictive - it can be really enjoyable to get a different perspective.

Not sure whether you mean time of day or time of life! I suppose I have left it late but I wouldn't have posted at all were it not for the "use it or lose it" pop up.
Living in East Anglia means I have been restricted to attending only away games, the first being at Coventry in 1968 where if memory serves we were 2-0 down and came back to draw 2-2. How times change!
These days, unable to get tickets for the away end, means we have to sit with the home fans which makes for an interesting experience, the latest being at Leicester. It was difficult not to jump up when Gylfi scored.
Thanks for all the positive comments.

I was actually meaning straight after that diabolical result at Newcastle. lollol
As a man of mature years I'm all for female posters of mature years.

Don't be too shy, mate. BTW I'm a newbie here and I'm starting to post messages so I can meet new friends and keep updated with this sport.
