I'm a lurker being forced from the shadows, I guess. I really enjoy reading this forum and do so daily. Have been for years now. I just haven't ever felt like I had much to contribute to the conversation. So I don't. That may change in the future, but for now having the account keeps track of my place in threads and allows me to ignore some of the more... tedious... content. Please don't delete me!

Since I've come this far already... as for me, I'm an American in my mid-30s. Been following Everton since the 2014/2015 season when, desperate to fill the gaping hole in my life left by yet another World Cup ending, I learned that NBC was airing the Premier League over here. I watched a couple of games opening weekend, but once I saw Everton (2-2 v a (I believe) new promoted Leicester) something just clicked, and I've watched nearly every minute played since. Got my wife on board too. And my 3 year old son is coming along nicely.

All-time favorite Everton player: Steven Naismith. Fight me.

That very last bit is worth a middle finger.

Appreciate the welcome!

Don't be shy to get involved mate, it's always interesting to me to discover what sadists actually choose to support us from watching us in the past few years.

All the hard times are just going to make it that much sweeter when we win the lot! Right?

Thoughts on Hawaiian pizza?

Thoroughly meh. I might have a slice, but I'd never order it for myself. Plus it's absolutely crap cold.

The best way to avoid tedious content is to place tedious posters on ignore mate.

This is exactly what compelled me to finally create an account in the first place.

Great to hear from a US Toffee, as long as you didn't vote for the Orange one!

No worries on that front.

(Oh, and I'm also an Amerikaner with a California past and a New England present.)

Tennessee here. Before that Chicago and Philadelphia.

That very last bit is worth a middle finger.

Like I said: fight me! The day he came on for an injured Besic and scored a hat-trick against Chelsea is one I'll be telling my grandchildren about! My wife also can't get over the fact that he's married to a dentist.

Naismith was a tidy player for us. Deffo belongs in the underrated section along with Leon Osman & Jermaine Beckford.

I too have enjoyed reading this forum for some years now without ever having ventured an opinion of my own, but in response to the notification that I may be liquidated if I don't start running my mouth, here's a post: Please don't delete my account. Cheers!

Feel free to run your mouth. Post loads, even if it's rubbish (I mean just see posts by @BigBlueNose for example)

Excellent post mate, hope you consider posting more...if only to utter the odd “BOO” or “YESSSSS” in the match thread ;)

Osman > Naismith > lots of others > Beckford.

To be fair to Naismith he scored some really important goals for us while he was here, against top opposition as well, so I look back at him fondly.

The classic hat-trick,header,left and right foot.Wish some of the invertebrates we have at the moment would show half of his commitment then we wouldn't be sweating on stumbling towards another 7 points.
