Don't worry lad I had fine head of hair until the wimbledon game .now it's gone everton that. Keep smiling its a roller coaster life being a toffee

Doesn't seem to matter who we appoint, as some faction won't like it and will be prepared to shout loud and long about it too. Goodison has always been full of angry heads who you learn to let just get on with it, but it's getting to the point now where you are scared to voice your support or disdain for anyone or anything for fear of the reaction it might bring from someone near you.

I also think some of those great unifying figures that we have liked to rally round in the past, like Ferguson, Baines, Possibly Cahill if he chooses to become a part again, could fall victim to it too.

We look on the brink of absolute collapse and I haven't got a clue what it will take to stop it now.

The fans are the only sane characters in this whole mess.

Too many “fans” seem to have forgotten that the purpose of football was to entertain. When this club was formed it had to serve up entertaining and winning football. That’s how it attracted fans, and it was fans’ money via gate receipts etc that allowed the club to function.

We may now be in an era where premier league clubs may have become billionaires’ playthings, and more reliant on TV deals and corporate sponsorship deals to survive…but the ultimate purpose is still to entertain. If the fans leave, then no one watches the games, whether from the stands or on TV.

We are entitled to not have to cheer. We are entitled to boo if we want to. It’s a game, and we want to be entertained and to feel that OUR club is being run properly. If it isn’t, then it’s our duty to say so. Or stop watching, stop cheering, stop attending.

If that upsets the board or the players, then that’s just tough. We don’t have to just accept things as the status quo all the time.

This is exactly the sort of thing I mean. You say something about our situation and there is always someone who wants to have a go at your for it. You've completely missed the point of my post. It's not about apportioning any sort of blame to anyone for our current mess.....its simply a statement of how totally hopeless the mess makes me feel and that some blues just seem to want to hit out at anyone they can for it......I can't see a way out.

Stop Worrying about it.

It's just Football.
 

I'm concerned for sure but not like I can do anything to change things.

There is a definate sense of the club being on a downward spiral now though, and I have almost no confidence they will act to stop it.

If we stay up it will be by default at this rate.
 
If it's any consolation, the championship is quite fun (being from near Boro). Referees are awful but there's loads of games to go to and some might even be winnable!

If we do go down, and I think this may finally be the year it happens, I am going to take this attitude on board.

I think we have to start looking at the positives of possible relegation like this.

I know there are those that believe simply being practical enough to contemplate these things is an act of treachery and that blindly refusing to admit we can get relegated will somehow make it less likely to happen but there ya go

We won’t get promoted straight away because you need to be mentally strong to slog the whole season (and it gets harder the longer you’re there), will be bankrupt with this stadium build, the abuse from the RS will be unbearable, Moshiri will still be in charge.
Do not see one thing even close to a positive with relegation but I get that it’s like a self-preservation thing
 
I'll be wearing a helmet to the next game. One of those recyclable cupholder things practically brushed my eyebrows in the concourse just after being launched at full time on Saturday.
