Chris's chippy was the absolute nuts. We all used to fancy his many daughters and nieces when we lived on Rose Lane too. Even when I was living up in Cumbria, me and my mates would detour to Chris's after going to the match or even the rugby in Warrington.

FWIW, Chips and gravy, fish separate and the aforementioned battered sausage for the walk home.
