Is Sam that bad?

Hear me out

8 games played against sides outside the top 6, Won 5, 2 draws and 1 loss

So basically we have picked up 17 points out of 24 out of games we would expect to win, whichever way you spin that it's a very good return

Now obviously we've been shocking against the top 6 sides but this is nothing new and goes back years

Does he deserve a second season?
Mate we have spent £239 mil on this team, I want an Everton manager not to go to the likes of arsenal and compete, not roll over.

Look at the bigger picture, when was the last time you went to Goodison and was entertained? So to answer your question this guy has stole a living out of football

Stealing a living? Then so too have the previous set of managers.

We've been rolling over for the big clubs for a long time, and yes the money spent is huge but we sold our 3 top players and replaced them by and large with wasters.

I wouldn’t give him a second second.

oh god. this again

so we have been awful today then? what about Leicester, or Huddersfield at home, Or the RS in the cup, What about Swansea

You telling me we've been terrible in all of those wins

Don't let your dislike of the man get in the way of him vastly improving our performances

What on Earth have you been watching?
Its been absolutely dire. For the first time in over 40years I’m struggling to get motivated to go to the match. Yes, partly because it’s Allardyce and I despise everything about him, but mainly because we are horrible to watch week-in, week out.
We may well have won yesterday but it was ultra low on entertainment and it has been every single game.

... 9/2 to get relegated when he came in. 100-1 this morning. Says it all really.

Tells you how pathetically overrated the Premier League is Eggs, and how poor many teams are.
The fact that a massive proportion of the fanbase want him gone even if we’ve moved up the table tells me plenty.
Imagine watching worse than us this season!

It's hardly his fault keane/klassen/morgan/tosan cost the club 100m+ is it mate?

This isn't his squad, he's using an utter mess created by walsh and koeman and imo he's doing quite well getting a tune out of them

I think that we will see Sam stay at the club and probably /possibly as manager next season. I would not be surprised if his role changes and in time he may become a kind of general manager allowing a younger man to come in as coach and then manager. A Fonsexa, a Silva , an Usworth even a Rooney
After Martinez and Koeman I believe Sam is seen as a solid pair of hands to keep the club steady until it is ready to move forward with the right man.
The thought of being involved but reducing the pressure and risk by taking on a different role may appeal.
Listening to him there is no doubt he expects to be here next season in some capacity.

Na he would be here as manager and that’s it. But he won’t be he’s not the man to take us forward at all.

This season has been an absolute joke and I can’t wait until it’s over to be honest. We are light years away from the top 6 which is what we’ve been supposed to be trying to crack since Moyes stabilised us as ‘best of the rest’ only now we’ve actually got money and are spending loads of it.
The difference is when Moyes finished 4th we had no right and it didn’t matter about style of football the results were so remarkable. Right now our spending power should put us way ahead of 12 teams in the league so 7th should be an absolute given and we should be doing that and pushing for higher with a bit of class not the dross we’ve watched all season.
