The phasing out of the disciplinary cut off date is happening this year, it was agreed with a "gentleman's agreement" between the FA, the LMA and Gordon Taylor from the PFA. Next season sees the first time it's implemented fully with the cut off date being 31st December. This year it's 31st January 2011.

Trust me on this fella.

And if you read the last paragraph on this it also says about the yellow card cut off for the 09/10 season had been moved to dec 31st from that season

The media don't know about the gentlemen's agreement mate in fairness.

Anyway, like I said, up to you if you want to believe everything you read in the press. I'm giving you first hand insider info here.

Sorry. Back on topic, Gerrard (dirty git) being out will give us a slight boost but they'll have Kuyt playing who they missed badly imo at goodison.

sticking to my 0-0 predicition.

I wouldn't be too sure mate. Liverpool have appealed the Gerrard red card. They sent a fax today before 12noon.

The hearing in on Friday and lets just say the FA are less than confident of maintaining the ban...
