Not a chance this is the worst.It has been a lot worse.

Mike Walkers team was worse, I can remember one game where our players were fighting with each other

Too young to remember pre-Kendall so can't compare to that. The relegation battles in the 90s - we at least had strikers and the "dogs of war" attitude so there was always the hope that we would scrape a win or a crucial point against the odds.

Now....we have no striker, too many players who are along for the ride, leaking goals at an alarming rate. And I cannot see where the next goal is coming from (but can see where the opposition goals are coming from). It's as bad as I personally can remember.

It was bad under Martinez - shipping goals for fun, but we were able to score a few too (ok, not as many as we were conceding but we were at least scoring).

Unless Pickford can start scoring from the goal kicks then no, we have no chance of winning at the minute.

Whys that then? If by chance we ever appoint a manager that doesnt put square pegs in round holes then itll turn around. I remember being bottom of the league end of November in the mid 90s, one derby game turned it around. Still 28 league games to go and plenty of time to get points on the board.

This isn't the worst, I have seen far worse...It just seems worse because of the financial backing and expecting a lot more. I've been a blue staunch since 84....I can only compare it to losing my virginity with Patsy Kensit then spending the rest of my like boning the cast of prisoner cell block H.

Under Smith the players were all old, average ability and gave it a good go. This team is meant to be talented but struggling the same.

What comes to mind for me is Martinez second year(?) where we lost abar 8 games around Christmas. Woeful.

And Moyes the season after we finished 4th. Drew v Chelsea at home then kicked on from there.

Yes seem to remember in a lot of the moyes years that we didn't get going till half way through the season

Been watching since 93 and I can say emphatically it's the worst I've seen.

Walter Smith's teams were abysmal but they'd welly that lot tonight.
