I was more thinking overall. The summer clearly showed us we can't really go for targets with interest from champions league clubs. And if we do we'll be paying twice as much

Sounds like his biggest problem was going to Inter at a young age, pressure to do well because as you allude to, he was the next big thing.

Nope - been told it's because someone at the club baulked at paying stupid money for a guy basically out of contract. Can't say I blame them.

Didn't we have a bid accepted by the club? Strange to make a bid then turn around and say no actually that's too much! Kind of ruins a second bid if you go too high to start with

..as far as I know we are the only ones in for this fella (apologies if I have this wrong). I thought the selling club agreed a fee and the issue is the agent wants his bunce.
