Comfortably the most dangerous sporting event on the planet. 260 odd deaths in it's 115 year history. Multiple deaths each year is normal. It's honestly mad that it still continues, im not against it... it's just crazy that in 2022 it's allowed.

Best videos of it are all from fixed position spectator videos, showcases the insanity of it better than anything else.

Absolute lunatics the lot of 'em. Brave as they come too. It's a wonder they can sit astride the bikes the size of the balls required.

IIRC earlier they were suggesting 40 litre tanks. Must do ballet on the side.
A bike went past me on the M58 the other night when I was heading back from a callout. I was doing 92mph in my van and this thing flew past like a 'kin rocket. Easy doing 140+. Madman

Having served a ban for speeding a lot lot less than that, I don't envy his explanation when he swears to cough it up. Naughty and reckless.

Seeing some of these video's gives me massive anxiety. Absolute madness. One small error and your life if gone.
its the danger that makes it exciting. Reminds of a quote from the great Kevin Schwantz when he was talking about braking points going into a corner, "you wait til you see the eyes of god, then you brake".

Motorsport in general is dangerous, downhill skiing, sea diving, parachute jumping, are all dangerous. I would wager that more hobby pedal cyclists will be killed on the roads of the mainland during the TT Festival than TT competitors on the island. Life is dangerous if you do it properly.
