Confirmed Signing Jack Harrison

Because we activated a relegation release clause.

The lad got relegated nearly 3 months ago.

We've had all this time to do this deal and they've left it to the last minute and Villa have only come in because they need to clog the Buendia shaped hole in their side.

They wouldn't even go for him if we did what competent teams do and identify targets early and do the the deal.

We're run by absolute amateurs.

yearh we’re run now cowboys mate i agree and it’s why we are a mess and a laughing stock

The second player in a few months that is undergoing a medical, agrees to sign then bugger off at the last second. This is embarrassing for the football club. We dither far far too long.

Regardless of the player's quality, this shambles indicates how totally useless Kenwright, Thelwell etc really are. Harrison has been their target all summer, and a properly-run club would have signed him when the window opened.

Utter embarrassment of a club.

This.

Cannon is sitting around twiddling his thumbs because the club can't get anyone in. As is Gray.

Agents, players, intermediaries all hate dealing with Everton as its all so erratic and it eminates from years of Moshiri, BK and whoever the DOF is trying to sign different players and not having a joined up approach.

This transfer was identified over two-months ago, but due to concerns over our finances and his injury we've been patient, or some may say cautious.

McNeil's injury may have pushed it forward in terms of priority. But I agree - if it weren't for Buendia it wouldn't have been an issue, but that's the risk we've taken.

I wouldn't be writing this off just yet.

Arsed..surely Mcneil does this job better than him.... Just sign a striker you complete and utter bells

This happens far too often for it to be a coincidence. he’s been available all summer, but we’ve been far too busy plotting, considering, mulling and evaluating our options that we’ll lose yet another. Be decisive ffs if you want a player move and get it done!
Do you recall when everyone used to call Moyes ‘Dithering Dave’ - it would appear it may not necessarily have been him!

Don't really rate him, Villa can have him.

I agree though on the optics of this. He was first linked in early weeks of June as I remember debating it on here at the time and the price/loan terms won't have shifted much so does sum up the lack of direction at the top attempting to get transfers completed.
