OK; so he is unavailable for six weeks, but let's look at the bigger picture.

He will be available for the remainder of the season, and if he does well, we will buy him for a specified fee, for 4/5 years.

So six weeks is a very small percentage of the bigger picture, and if he produces we will be the winners.
 

Rumour from Villa end is that Emery & Monchi did express an interest in matching the loan conditions which meant Leeds gave Villa permission to speak with the player but when they looked at the likely timeframe for him to regain fithess, they pulled out. In fairness to the player, there's no suggestion from the Villa end that Jack or his agent encouraged any interest from them, but we'll probably never know the full story....
