Like 99% of the people on here, my comments are based on media info only but missing out in Harrison is bad news imo. We need a winger, and he is hard working, skillful and scores a few goals. Hopefully, the latest media reports are wrong and the ones a couple of hours ago are correct!!!!

Rumour from Villa end is that Emery & Monchi did express an interest in matching the loan conditions which meant Leeds gave Villa permission to speak with the player but when they looked at the likely timeframe for him to regain fithess, they pulled out. In fairness to the player, there's no suggestion from the Villa end that Jack or his agent encouraged any interest from them, but we'll probably never know the full story....

OK; so he is unavailable for six weeks, but let's look at the bigger picture.

He will be available for the remainder of the season, and if he does well, we will buy him for a specified fee, for 4/5 years.

So six weeks is a very small percentage of the bigger picture, and if he produces we will be the winners.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I do actually like Harrison as a player, said it earlier.

It’s just, those small percentages have also been what have saved us the last 2 seasons. Last season it was a point - it’s just a bit concerning between now and then when you consider what those weeks are worth in points. That being said, we need more than Harrison alone overall so it’s one of them. Hoping getting this done with finally allow them to go fully in with that striker position, especially if this sanctions Gray leaving?
