It should be Thelwell's decision though not Dyche's. For what it's worth It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he does sign, I'm not convinced by the way we scout for players under Thelwell, it's all been fairly run of the mill stuff so far.

It SHOULD, I agree.

I think there’s a very real danger that Thelwell’s approach doesn’t tally with Dyche’s.

Thelwell makes the right noises about the age profile of player we should be signing.

Dyche, meanwhile, picks from a limited subset of the squad and plays the players he wants to play. Including 38 year old Ashley Young wherever possible.
