2024/25 Jack Harrison

If he has to play due to numbers, it has to be on the left, just to whip early balls in behind the defence.

But if we did, people would look at fancy stat websites and complain he is out of position because he has now played 4 million unproductive times on the right.

Never a right sided player. Has to be a threat of going on the outside and crossing right footed so the defender has to pick which side to show him. Without the pace to do that, his only options are cut inside and pass it to Doucs (who will lose it), roll it back to Young, or just panic with the ball at his feet and dribble it out for a throw in under a modicum of pressure.

He’s not very good, but he is not quite as bad as we have made him look; playing in a position where yes he can help defensively, but going forward it’s a job that relies on everything he can’t do, and never has been able to do.

Plays like his feet are on fire. He’s taking up a valuable loan spot when we are in desperate need of footballers who are stronger than their shadows and have control over their limbs. Whatever the fascination of using him as a right sided midfielder/ additional full back/ winger has been must surely be over to anyone with eyes and a brain. Last night he contrived to put in his worst performance in an Everton shirt, I honestly can’t believe he could get any worse than what he’s shown but it’s not fair on him, the club, his teammates or the fans to play him on the right ever again and he’s had at least 10 appearances too many.

What's wrong with this fella?
It's hard for any pro player to be this abject for this long.
I genuinely believe he doesn't want to be picked and doing everything he can to make sure no manager will.
As bad as I've seen for a long, long time.

I think this is totally fair. He is crap , make no mistake about it , but prior to coming here did he ever play on the right?

Was he ever half decent in the left ?
