Why would any Evertonian hate Jack Rodwell? How on earth do you find the emotional energy to care at all about him?!

He was just an incredibly poor player who once showed some potential in a few games. We sold him for ten times what he was worth at his peak. What's to hate? He always tried his very limited best for us, and we got us silly money for him on the way out.

With all the vipers, leaches and users that have infested and damaged the club through their actions during the last decade I stuggle to understand why anyone would even waste a second thinking about (let alone hating on) Rodwell.

Bloody hell. Why did I bother studying hard at school and stuff? I could've spent my time running around dodging physical contact with other players and now I'd be living in Rome on enough money each week to not have to work for a year afterwards?

I get what you’re saying but his performances were THAT bad.

Spending money to follow the team around the country to watch them kinds of performance instilled a hatred that will never go away.

If he was just technically limited then he would be forgotten, but the lack of heart and desire was reprehensible. He put in a derby performance at Anfield in CM vs Gerrard that I’ll take to the grave. It was worse than playing with 10 men as nobody was covering his holes in the middle of the pitch, he did that regularly too.

If you take away transfer sagas and off field shenanigans , there’s no Everton player I dislike more than Jack Rodwell, plenty of Sunderland fans say the same too.

He was absolutely garbage. Not even in the same league as Rooney, literally a league 1 player.

Developed a reputation when he was 15 as he was a foot taller than the rest of the 15 year olds, he put in some of the most disgusting performances an Everton player has ever managed and that’s really saying something.

Has made a living of being better than a load of schoolkids when he was in year 11.

I don't think you would have that opinion if you had attended the odd game when he came into the team.
