Arguably Villa's best player on our tour of the US last season. Very highly rated and wasn't released due to PSR but because the player himself wanted to play every week so we respected his wishes and let him go although we have first refusal on him (I think). The deal that he had(s?) in place with Ipswich would have been matched by us but by all accounts we weren't going to jump in as we wouldn't be able to offer regular first team football. Villa can match but it'll be a hard sell on the player's side you'd think. He'd be behind more players in the pecking order.

He wouldn't be a starter you'd imagine but the CL is a pretty big sell, they'll have to rotate quite a bit next season.

Yeah agree fully. Not fussed as I’ve never seen him play. Not going to make the mistake of getting attached to a player before they even sign… well I’ve don’t it loads but no more!
