Hi, thanks for the welcome :)

Yes we definitely have to win something this year, infact... a lot of Arsenal fans are already calling for Wenger to leave the club. I see this season as his last chance.

As for our chances, they are very good as long as we get a new goalkeeper and don't have another major injury crisis. Chelsea and Man Utd's squads are ageing and have to start declining soon.

Wengers in the same boat as Moyes' with financial restraints. Given those, the guys done well. Nice to see at least one other club not bowing down to the cash cow mentality. Good luck for the coming year, hope you come second to us!

You are Joe Hart of Shay Given away from being closer to winning the title. You still haven't replaced Seamen really. We had it after Southall, we couldn't replace him with anyone good until Howard (Martyn was too old) and Utd had it with Schmeichel. You need to improve that defense mate in my opinion, you must long for an Adams or someone similar again. I think you'l be fine though, with everyone going on abou Chelsea, United & City, hopefully you and us sneak under the radar eh?

Do you post on Goonersweb?

lol, thanks! Just a quick question, how long is left on Artetas contract? Can you see him moving if an offer comes in from someone?

Oi, hands off! :P Two years I think. Depends who the offer is from. Despite all the groans from the guys on here about Citeh, if they offer him 200k a week (he's on around 60 now) for the last 4/5 years of his playing career then good luck to him. That kind of silly money won't be around for ever.

No, I post on Arsenal-Mania under the username "ferrarif50hunt".

I've been crying out for us to sign Given or Hart for months now, I just can't see how City can keep hold of two class keepers who will want first team football. The trouble is, we have a 19 year old Polish goalkeeper called Szczesny and Wenger seems reluctant to sign a new goalkeeper because he sees Szczesny as our future #1. That is why we went after Schwarzer from Fulham, he is 37 years old and only has about two more years of football in him, and then when he retires Szczesny would take over. A stop gap if you will.... but the fact that Fulham have rejected two bids has left us all very scared that Wenger might just give up and carry on with Fabianski.

Still, I'm predicting a trophy this season =D

Heard about that young keeper, wasn't he on loan at Brentford?

Trouble is mate, im sensing you can't be waiting around now and it is time to deliver. Still think you are a centre-half and a keeper away from winning anything, but you are underestimated by the press, etc.

Don't mind Arsenal. I heard that when you won the title and paraded the trophy at Highbury, we wer playing you and Keown came to the away end were the Evertonians were housed. Naturally, we gave our ex-player a round of applause and then some lad shouts "Eh Keown, any regrets leaving Everton?" Classic

Yeah he was at Brentford and he had a cracking season, I can really see why he is rated so highly.

And yeah I agree, we can't be waiting around for young players to grow up. I just wish Arsene Wenger would see it that way, his purchases in the transfer market are depressing to say the least... especially when we are competing with Chelsea and UTD.

Says in today's echo that Everton confirmed that they have rejected a £14 million bid for Jagielka from Arsenal........interesting

Part of that then being, does Jags want to go himself? Other than a massive pay rise, and don't forget Arsenal have a pay cap not dissimilar to ours, would he want to disrupt his family etc..... to go to a club that potentially are no better than ourselves?? Heres hoping!

I should point out, if Moyes does plan on using Heitinga and Jags together in the center, then I really would not want him to be sold for any price.

I'm still optimisitc, once Felli comes back, that Moyes will try it.

I do not think for one minute that Jags will request a move away from the club, Arsenal aren't much bigger than us any more and I also don't think they could offer him a higher wage then he's on here and I think Jags know's how ambitious we are and how we're aiming to finish above clubs like Arsenal next seaon

And sorry Fabregas, nothing personal (in fact I think Arsenal have the best and the most respecteful supporters) BUt i hate arsenal.

The alwyas seem to score lucky goals against us, that or late goals. And that always irritate me...

Football fans are stupid in the main, especially when things aren't going to plan. Wenger is part of an elite group of managers that have earned the right to loyalty from fans. The guy is a managerial genius and I can't see which other manager could get a bunch of lads playing the football Arsene does. Lose him, and risk returning to obscurity.
