I joke I joke. Appreciate the information Mr Steve. You seem very keen to take him back.

We have had a lot of loanees from bigger clubs over the years and the majority are no better than what we have and ultimately we look forward to them leaving, so its nice (and a bit refreshing) when someone like Jake comes in and drives us forward like he did. Our club is moving forward (after 60 odd years of going backwards) and one sign of our progression has been to be able to get decent youngsters in on loan, instead of some of the dross we used to get from bigger clubs.

Wish you nothing but good fortune mate tbh. If Bidwell is a positive influence then I'd imagine Brentford is a positive for him.

I think Moyes is going to loan Jake to a best possible club where he will really likely get a place in their starting lineup and that should be somewhere in the lower-end of Championship, I think.. So I think it's unlikely he is going to play for Brentford this season again..

Thank you, very kind. Yeah Bidwell to Brentford would be of benefit to all parties (whether it ultimately sees him play for Everton 1st team is another matter but at least his value and ability will increase) and i hope it happens, we have just signed a young full back on a development contract and have Andy Taylor (ex Sheff utd and Tranmere) on trial with the squad in Germany for our pre season tour which makes Bidwell's move to us seem less likely. :(

Well for our sake i hope your wrong mate.

:) i didnt mean it as an insult, my point was that if Tranny are only planning on finishing mid table whereas we are pushing for promotion then it would make sense from an Everton point of view for him to come to us.

Not quite sure he is ready to move up yet, or at least he wouldnt play as regularly in the Championship as he would for a L1 club. He may hold his own in the Championship but perhaps would be a back up and only get say 15 games. At Brentford he would get 40 games if he stays fit.

Fair shout mate, I'm not sure what would be better for him at this point. 15 games and a season around better players or regular games at a good club?

Either way I hope he doesn't come back to us and have a morale sapping season in the reserves. Young lads need games to develop.

Best of luck for the season mate, great expierence for your Jake its immensely better that he plays games. From what ive seen he has a physical approach to the game and has benifited from playing week in week out.

Id rather see him with you guys than playing in youth games tbh.

That is exactly it, reserve leagues are all but pointless and only serve to help players returning from injury imo. It is sad to see clubs in L1,2 and the conference at times struggling to fill the allocation of subs, when so much young talent that would benefit so greatly from playing at these clubs are rotting, bored out their nuts in the ressies of bigger clubs.

Sorry, to say it mate, but I think so.. :( Anyway, how well played Adam Forshaw for you , what are you thinking about him for now and mainly for the future? :)

I only saw about 4 of his 6 performances for us and he looked technically good (as you would expect) but didnt really have a massive impact like Jake did.

His loan coincided with a desperate drop in form from most of our players. We looked like a side that was bottom of the league, but i dont think that was at all because Forshaw was in the side, he played centre midfield and attacking midfield and both have been problem positions for us for a number of years. We went to Orient and lost to them when they hadnt won at home for 4 months, 3 days later we were away at Bournemouth and didnt manage a shot on target (Bounemouth hadnt won in 11 games) and on both occasions Forshaw, amongst many others far more experienced than him, chased shadows all game. Had he been in the side when collectively we were playing better he would without doubt had an easier introduction to league football and i assume he performances would have been more memorable.

Signing him doesnt have me drooling in anticipation and i wouldnt be too surprised if he failed to have an impact (many players that come from prem clubs fail to live up to the expectation and need a season or two to find their feet). Having said that he is your reserve player of the season and i have full faith in our scouting network and manager so he could be a gem.

To sum up, his loan spell didnt give us much of an idea into the sort of signing he will be or impact he will have for us. Hopefully he will be a success.
