Looks [Poor language removed] going by Whoscored.

Weaknesses: Tackles

Style of Play: Does not dive in to tackles.

Sounds like Keane Mk II

Whoscored is handy as it shows games played starting/sub + goals/assists and the history of specific games played + positions breakdown.

The strengths/weaknesses are typically bizarre, i would ignore them.

….that really is the key, it almost defines our season.
I'd be saying that myself it it wasn't for Tarkowski. If that lad is fit then this new possible signing will hit the ground running like Branthwaite did with him alongside him. Don't get me wrong, Branthwaite had a superb season but Tarkowski for me must get a lot of the credit for that. The confidence having that colossus next to you would bring the best out of any young centreback. Hope we keep Branthwaite obviously, but if there's a shred of truth in these rumours of him wanting this massive wage increase (which i hope there isn't) then I'd sell all day long at our asking price.

He's a center back, but anyway...

Full backs tend to be smaller, not because height is a disadvantage, but because coaches ten to play and develop taller players in other positions like center back.

Being tall does not correlate negatively with pace if anything the opposite is true (look at Usain Bolt).

If we are considering switching to a back 3, why arent we doing that now, in preseason.

I reckon hes back up, we got VERY lucky that Tarks and Branners hardly missed a game last season, we honestly wont get that lucky again.

Its the Beto issue again, we bought him cos we didnt expect DCL to play all season, he did, so Beto fed on scraps and "suffered" to a degree, its forward planning, if we get "lucky" then it seems silly, if we dont, its sensible, forward planning, its new to us.
Dyche has said repeatedly that he views 3-5-2 and 3-4-3 as other names for a 4-4-2. Everything is a 4-4-2 for him. Variations are just positional instructions for him.

Terrific, don't you mean horrific? I was only a young teen when he was playing for us but if I'm not recalling incorrectly he was absolutely awful for us - in fitting with how bad the club was at the time.

….i watched him lots coming through the Academy and he was a proper talent. Heavy build but rapid, part of an FA Youth Cup winning team which is always a good sign. Moved to City and was their POTY for a 4 continuous seasons which is still some type of record. PFA team of the year at Villa.

He was very good even if a bit problematic in his personal life.
