Someone tell me, what is Dyche's history with 3 at the back?

I know we have done it a few times in his time here, but of course spent most of last season with a fairly stable back 4.

I am just wondering with Jake, James and Jarrad this may be the aim (i know we also need back-ups so may just be the case), but this would then push higher, Myko and possibly better for Patterson if further up the pitch.

Then we can also utilise the likes of Lindstrom and Ndiaye more centrally.

Have a scroll through. Note this only applies to formations at kick-off not what might have been changed with subs.

Thanks....

So answer is fairly non-existent then. At least for starting line-up.

he won’t go 3 at the back

we are to weak at RWB

Seems like before Everton basically never.
Whilst I like the sounds of this player, I am just not sure a priority is paying 19m+ for a back-up center back especially when we likely cannot shift Keane and Holgate on so expect them to be staying round the place.

So either may be a replacement for a certain someone or possible changes in formations which looks unlikely.

I had the same reservations as you but got shouted down because we will "obviously sell Keane and/or Holgate".

Keane and Holgate can’t be allowed to play any minutes if we want to have a hope of actually picking up points. So basically we had 2 functioning centre back options for an entire season.

I don't know if we will or won't, but playing Holgate isn't an option and we need 4 CB to get through the season.

“Turn your head and cough. Good. Now make your way through this treacherous obstacle course with glass, spikes, moving platforms and rapidly swinging scythes down the home stretch. Oh. We can’t afford 20 mil for a player with an injured pinky toe. Is Wout still around?”

Also I don’t see why Tarkowski can’t be improved upon. To me he’s an average but dependable bottom half Premier League defender, people seem to go on like he’s prime John Terry and his place in the team is set in stone. If this lad is an improvement on him then he should come into the team.
You do know Tarks was the top rated English centre back last season. He’s the glue that holds things together and we did have one of the best defensive records with him in it.
