I wasn't joking. This is absolutely not the joke it’s meant to be.
I’d play him there’s just convert him.
Maupay definitely; he is a joke.

Someone tell me, what is Dyche's history with 3 at the back?
I know we have done it a few times in his time here, but of course spent most of last season with a fairly stable back 4.
I am just wondering with Jake, James and Jarrad this may be the aim (i know we also need back-ups so may just be the case), but this would then push higher, Myko and possibly better for Patterson if further up the pitch.
Then we can also utilise the likes of Lindstrom and Ndiaye more centrally?
Thanks....Have a scroll through. Note this only applies to formations at kick-off not what might have been changed with subs.

So answer is fairly non-existent then. At least for starting line-up.

Whilst I like the sounds of this player, I am just not sure a priority is paying 19m+ for a back-up center back especially when we likely cannot shift Keane and Holgate on so expect them to be staying round the place.Seems like before Everton basically never.

So either may be a replacement for a certain someone or possible changes in formations which looks unlikely.

I had the same reservations as you but got shouted down because we will "obviously sell Keane and/or Holgate".
I don't know if we will or won't, but playing Holgate isn't an option and we need 4 CB to get through the season.
Three at the back is Thelwell's thing isn't it? And he's clearly been given more control this summer, no idea if that extends to him having a say on the formation and style of play though.Seems like before Everton basically never.

You do know Tarks was the top rated English centre back last season. He’s the glue that holds things together and we did have one of the best defensive records with him in it.Also I don’t see why Tarkowski can’t be improved upon. To me he’s an average but dependable bottom half Premier League defender, people seem to go on like he’s prime John Terry and his place in the team is set in stone. If this lad is an improvement on him then he should come into the team.
