2024/25 Jake O'Brien

I don't think JoB does anything to stop the midfield letting Mitoma run through it from his own half, or Gana giving the ball away in a dangerous area.

Probably would've scored like.

But while he should be playing over Keane...he wasn't at fault today
Keane had about 30 yards to decide when to step to welbeck after Ganas giveaway and stop his run. Backpedaled the entire way instead.

He's a gash defender. But one of the most experienced players on the park shouldn't be giving them a chance like that.

Brighton were awful and we gave them 2 goals. None of which came directly from Keane.

Hence why even if JOB played...can't see a different out come. Brighton had 4 killers waiting to jump on an error while ours flailed like kittens in front of goal.

Id even go and say their CBs made more mistakes than ours today. They just didn't lead to goals.

Oh I completely agree. But look around at the starting line ups this weekend and very few, if any, teams started more than 1 new signing, most were on the bench. It's just normal.

Hopefully Dyche now sees that he doesn't have the luxury of 'bedding them in'
This is the crux. Other teams have the luxury of allowing players to bed in. We don't. With us they need to hit the ground running ,because we are so short of class and cover. Injuries to Branwaite and Garner and you are back to Young Holgate and Keane. The new signings need to either sink or swim and learn very quickly.

Just got to hope that this isn't a case of O'Brien being brought in as Branthwaite's immediate replacement, only for Dyche to not like the look of him in training.
