2024/25 Jake O'Brien

I think he'll do the same thing for him as he did with Lescott.

He'll keep him at full back till he's ready to move in the middle.

Lescott was quality for us at left back, hopefully O'Brien can get the goals Lescott was getting as well.

I personally quite like a proper defender in the full back position, and then use proper wingers, rather than a failed winger over lapping a work horse.

He's certainly add physicality and height.

Obviously it would be nice for him to chip in with some goals, but more importantly for me is having teams think twice before they attack us down the flanks.

We have two good professionals in Baines and Coleman who I’m sure will be
Only too happy to direct and encourage this lad to improve.

He had a good game.

Big difference he made, when we had the ball he's so comfortable defending in space that it allowed Lindstrom to go forwards without having to worry about behind him if we lost possession.

We have in actuality the perfect CBs to play three at the back, Branthwaite is superb defending in space also and both those wider CBs have great pace about them, mirrored by the fact in Ndiaye and Lindstrom we have two players whose best spot is kinda a wide forward or winger cutting in

Ultimately we suit some version of 3-4-3 system best.
