2024/25 Jake O'Brien

United 🤣🤣🤣

City maybe....but pull the other one.

They're bigger shambles than us, we're only 2 wins behind them in league.

People need get this notion out their head about United.
WTaF?!

They're one of the biggest clubs in the world and it's a matter of when they get their 💩 together not if.

No way they’ll let Branthwaite walk. If we were able to retain him and not sell after all we’ve been through, I have no doubt with financial security and threat of PSR gone, he’ll be a blue for a while.
He'll get a nice bumper contract in the summer, either that or City will see him as part of their rebuild.

United will never EVER get back to the Ferguson era heights ever more so under Mr Tight-wad Ratcliffe.

Real maybe but it's probably a stretch him going their especially with Carlo on shaky ground.

He's not a natural wide player. The performance today was tidy and he was up against some good players. But Lindstrom put a massive shift in ahead of O'Brien. Also, O'Brien moved fairly conservatively when he had the ball going forward and looking for the safe pass.

Nothing wrong with that, we needed steady. But he's a CB. That's his position. He cant do the attacking side of the game apart from set pieces.

He'll slot in with Tarkowski when Brathwaite leaves this summer.
Agree with the sentiment here Dave. Whilst it has become vogue to rebrand centre halves as defensive full backs (White at Arsenal, Konsa at Villa, Gvardiol at City) I don't think JOB has the physical profile to become what the aforementioned have

Nevertheless it is a better option that Young or Coleman and who knows, with a bit more.playing time and confidence maybe he can make a good fist of it

Hoping Branthwaite doesn't leave but he's looked shaky last few games and was somewhat at fault for their first today, charging out of position to lose that header

Yeah, they'll never win the title again.
At this moment in time we've got just as much chance of winning one before them.

You've let the likes of Sky brainwash you into thinking they are still a force.

These have reverted back to being the mid table club they where before Ferguson went there.

Soon enough all the glory hunters they made fortune off while they were successful will have found new teams to support.

Anyway back on topic.

Yes, he'll make a good fist of it. He's very competitive and aggressive.

Branthwaite: he plays his best stuff as an out and out defender. He can play out a bit, but he's not going to be a John Stones type.

You kno the threat of psr aint gone yes passed this season, but we have still being paying high interest again. With the rebuild at the end of the season would not be surprised if we do look to sell
