2024/25 Jake O'Brien

I didn’t even notice his celebration as I was too busy pogoing around my living room.

Yes, but you're normal mate.

That's why we have the ECB (Everton Celebration Police): to highlight to us mere mortals that the requisite amount of energy levels and busting of entertaining moves are reached.

O'Brien must do better in this aspect of his game in future.

On the muted celebration, I get the feeling he's still not feeling full acceptance from the fans yet and every match is nearly an audition to cement a starting place especially being played out of position.
He had a bad start to his Everton career, being frozen out by Dyche, now he's in there's probably a lot of pressure to keep performing. That or he's just very reserved.
Not accepted? Most of us are raving over him...

It's obvious he's a centre half but he's doing a very good job at right back, he's been a big part of our upturn in form...

Said it before and I'll say it again, he gives me lescott vibes...he started off doing a job at full back before cementing his place as one of the leagues top centre backs....

Natural successor to tarks

His lack of a stupid celebration only confirms he is not easily influenced by the so called content creators on the Tok Tik / Insta snap / T'interweb / Your Tube / Book of faces. He's alright in my (paper) books!

Examples of idiocy below......That last one......Jesus Wept:

The Griezemann one was funny when he did it at the euros, but yeah. Its a bit much. I prefer Jakes cool take on scoring.

Jakey boy had some trouble with pace yesterday and had to switch sides as Lindstrom looked a little under the weather. Would be interested in seeing a seasoned professional like Coleman ahead of him.

Defender was getting no way near him. Well beyond a mismatch. With Myko making steps of improvement, and Ndiaye back in weeks, that left flank could start working quite handy picking out late runs from the right channel.

Also, on the replay, his late arrival in the box reminded me specifically of the exact same run and spot in the area and goal of a certain other center back two weeks ago. That one a volley at the death.

Has he been transfer listed yet?

I'm fuming about that celebration no show.

The club should be taking action. Enrol him back home in Cork for a summer course of this while the rest of the squad are in the Alpine boot camp with Wor Davie.
