Back in the Premiership with Stoke, apparently a fee of £2.5m has been agreed with Sheff Utd.

Looked a good player in a poor Southhampton team, then tried to get by without trying, failed big time at Everton, fat, unfit and lacking in any quality. Dropped a league and found his level, will again look fairly decent in an average Stoke team.

Dont regret losing him.

I like Beattie and although I think he is not good enough for us, I do think he can do a decent job for a team like Stoke. Good luck to him and Stoke.

Stoke get the ball in the box so maybe it'll be a good deal. Beattie's a [Poor language removed] target man but he's also been decent at attacking the ball from crosses or set pieces.

He always had the right attitude here, shame he just wasn't good enough.

Thats what im confused about too...Especially seeing as he was rumored for £5 million in the summer...

...Maybe theres an exchange going on, just not official.

he wasnt given grief on the boards when he left, most just said it was one of those "didnt work out for either of us" things, then he slagged us off. i'll prepare my boo-muscle for stokes visit, maybe stokefullergoals can change to stokesbeat, if you insult our club then expect the worst beattie.

I wish Beattie all the best at Stoke City. Would have loved him to have scored on his debut against the RS but he did'nt sign him in time. Failed big time at Everton and never really looked interested, but will stand out more so in a Stoke side.
