2.5mill seems like a steal when you consider he has England Caps, and has scored close to 20 goals in a season in the past, especially when you consider they payed 4 mill for him. strange one and seems a good deal for Stoke i think there style of play will suit him, who going to add him to thier fantasey team?

Anyway does anyone know will me make anything out of this i.e. a sell on clause or anything?

Beattie could Play the game, he just did'nt want to for us for whatever reason.

Because he didnt get played, and the short time that he had (thanks to Moyes' substitutions) he didnt have any confidence. Its the same story with Johnson when the Yak turned up. Probably the same next season with Yakubu and Saha.

He didn't play because he wasn't good enough, simple as. I know you like him Dom but he wasn't good enough, lid. Face the facts.

I honestly believe that its the curse of Everton. No striker will last more than 3 years - until we have another duncan ferguson.

Nar its just that we buy [Poor language removed] strikers. I mean the Yak must surely be our best for years.

And then as soon as Saha comes along (even though injured) he drops in form...

...Its just a natural occurance at Everton...we buy a new striker - and the other one goes [Poor language removed].

Yak has done more than Big Dunc did in one season, hopefully he recovers from his injury. God bless his soul. I love the Yak I do.

I met Beattie on distant shores when he was on the payroll.

Contrary to what people presume he must have been like, "not arsed" etc. He was indeed a fine young man who was proud to pull on a blue shirt and be our number nine.

It just didnt work out. Save your wrath and hyberbole for a certain Mr Barmby.

Or in fact just dont. Pull furious faces in the mirror or something you cyber hardman.
