Never seen him play but from various descriptions sounds like a Carrick-esque sitting midfield who can take the ball of the defence and move it forward. Is this right?

If so, sounds exactly what we need and probably a shift to a 3 man midfield which would be good.

Nice idea Spud, but then, in theory, you have your 4 best midfielders on the pitch at all times, which sounds great, but if they never rest or rotate they get very tired.
