Did have a great game the last home game, just think at cm he could have more of an impact. Is a different player than onana gana dacoure who could connect the play more but understand your view. Is a good option to have now him at rb
I just think he has everything for an all round very talented player, that will make the play in the centre of the field.

Yes, he can fill that slot and I'm sure he would fill it well, but we are then losing the player that will make our team click !!!

He has that uncoachable ability to look like he has an extra half a second on the ball.
Midfield is where he should be playing as he has a real potential to grow there.

Good , composed CM players are harder to find than RB’s
Most RB,LB etc where cm, at or wingers in their youth that couldn’t make the step up and changed position.
If we have a naturally talented CM then we should be playing him there.
I also agree that Patterson is ok at RB … he needs to become more consistent with being available and his offensive contribution needs a lot of work, but having him at TB and garner in CM means we have two young players that we can grow and when the day comes that we do sell, we will make money on
Just dont think has the pace or that type of skill for a winger. Could see him as a right in a three midfield. But i could be wrong is a big season for the lad hope that we can keep him fit with patterson and bratihwaite. Could all look back at all three nailing down positions in the team
Now you're talking, but think he's a fair bit quicker than Beckham and if you're playing wide that helps.

Long term Garner is a midfielder IMO. He doesn't have the pace to be anything other than a back up RB.

My motive is to maximize Everton's quality.
Patterson might be a player we can use off the bench. But that RB slot is up for grabs, and I dont see him as even second favourite for it. I still believe he and us would benefit from a loan spell in the Championship.

If Garner was to make a permanent switch to RB, we would need more midfield cover. We would need a midfielder with a similar profile to Garner. My own suggestion would be trying to get Billy Gilmour in from Brighton. Started showing his quality towards the end of last season. Very good in possession and strength off the ball that belies his size. Destined to be a top PL player IMO.
