I think the buying rubbish players we can't sell on tactic has been done to death. Definitely doesn't workBack to Garner, my fear is that if he keeps going the way he has been we will be forced to sell him.
Absolutely. Not a natural right back at all (loses almost any aerial challenge but puts in enough worrying of the opponent) but his game intelligence let him step in a few times to cut out attacking moves.Good game by him today solid and made some impressive challenges.
Yeah, versatility is useful but can be a distraction. Having the option of him at right back is nice to have but hopefully he will continue his development primarily as a CM.All round footballer and athlete. Proves they are out there for sensible money. The only thing stopping (or delaying at least) this lad from a solid career is if it takes too long to work out his best position. We will have him playing left back at least once before November.
we have a winner in the team
watch him get benched
Unless they foresee him as the next Kevin De Bruyne, this isn’t necessarily true. I do agree that he should be mainly utilized as a central midfielder. Doesn’t hurt to have a versatile guy that can step in and spare you from the likes of Holgate and GodfreyIf they start dicking this lad around, playing him in multiple positions, it will destroy his development
