If they score 7/8 they will have games where they don’t scoreCos it's fairly obvious he's not the creative, attacking, 7/8 goal a season midfielder we crave.

Not sure what he is, but he's defo not what we need.

Same, especially in games where we expect to have more of the ball, as Gueye has been quite wasteful in possessionWould like to see him get a start.
Was always sceptical about bringing him back and tbh I think he has been fairly meh in most of the games, gets knocked off the ball very easily and passing not the greatest.Same, especially in games where we expect to have more of the ball, as Gueye has been quite wasteful in possession

And you're basing that on what... about 90 minutes of playing time in like 5 games coming off the bench..Struggling to see what this guy does, he falls in middle of being both an average def mid and less than average creative player

the only way you can really say your struggling to see what he does is cos he hasn't actually had the chance yet to show us what he can bring to the team.
I personally have high hopes for the lad and think we could have a little diamond for the future here. but I will happily admit I haven't seen enough of him yet for my opinion to be anymore then 'hopes' yet.
Well from what I have seen from the lad, he wants and looks for the ball and straight away he's looking for that forward pass. sounds simple really but that already brings me confidence compared to what we have been seeing in recent years from our midfield.I mean you have clearly seen him more than me. In what position do you have 'high hopes' for him?
I'd probably drop onana just because I don't think it would hurt to give him a rest. He's still really youngDrop Gana preferably, or Onana and give Garner a run.
That thing of always trying to make yourself available for the ball seems obvious but so few midfielders do it consistently, agree he does seem to do it well and is positive in possessionWell from what I have seen from the lad, he wants and looks for the ball and straight away he's looking for that forward pass. sounds simple really but that already brings me confidence compared to what we have been seeing in recent years from our midfield.
