I know it's all doom and gloom at the moment, but give over. He was 4th choice during the period of about 6 games earlier in the season where we were unbeaten and we were all ecstatic with the midfield 3 that were keeping him out. I'm sure if he'd been fit during the bad form, he'd have been rotated in to try and freshen things up.
I think he looks decent. More assured on the ball than all of our midfield (except maybe iwobi on his day) and seems to have a decent shot on him.
Because we bought him.

Some people don't think his signing was a good way to utilise 15 million pound in our current predicament. Some people aren't convinced that he's going to be able to replicate his performances in the Championship in the Premier League. Its really not a given that he will turn into Mikel Arteta, and we really don't have the time or the money for a little experiment right now. Thus far, I think it is very difficult to argue that it has been 15 million well spent.
He is the type of signing we should have been doing years ago.
I think it will be a good signing long term.
I get that, but what has sparked the rage today?

It's absolutely ludicrous. I believe James Garner is absolute top quality and for me that's apparent whenever he plays. He was pivotal to Forest last season and has a genuinely top grade past. There are very good reasons gmhe didn't sign on permanently with Forest.
He's barely had time at Everton to show anything at all.
I've a personal interest in that he's closely related to a business partner but unlike some @BurghToffee I wont be deceitful and contribute to this thread in any other way.
In fairness, I think some of our fans hate every single Everton player, even the kids in the academy and the U23`s.
Not as much as they hate themselves. And this is why it’s done.

This lad is going to pivitol in turning our season around. Word has it that he had the makings of a world class understanding with Patterson, which will be a joy to watch. We just need our stupid medics to stop exacerbating issues
