Clay soil might be the culprit. Apparently its a big bugbear for most groundsmen and they don't like working with it but in this country it's a bit of an issue in certain areas. As you can imagine it makes for a very hard base ground so is not very forgiving when it comes to impact injuries and it's a contributing factor in them.Just wtf are we doing to these players at Finch Farm? Are the training pitches made out of shiny cobbles or something?
