We've finally reached the point where we're expecting a 21 year old centre mid, who's experience is playing in the Championship - for a club that didn't seem want to sign him permanently - to save our season.

I'm here for it.

He went back to United as ETH wanted to see him in pre season.

Along with Brennan Johnson he was their best player last season.

United fans were up in arms when we signed him.

Should be starting alongside Onana.

Onana starting alongside Garner sounds great in a Football Manager sense, but in reality it's playing two inexperienced players at this level in a relegation battle. One in Onana who is struggling for form (and has done all season tbh) and another who hasn't played for months.

Scary thing is it could be the best option.

You’re absolutely right it’s risky but at the same time he’s looked so much better Doucoure in his limited minutes.

He covers a lot of ground but maybe not as much as Doucoure but he’s an actual footballer who can control a ball and pass it short or long. Knows how to shoot as well which is unlike our entire squad!

None of the United fans I know were up in arms. The consensus was that he's tidy, efficient and keeps the ball moving well but won't reach the top level.

Well that’s probably fair by United’s criteria , our needs are different and a mid level PL player who costs £9 mill is about right for our budget and expectations this season. Gordon , who’s the same age, of course went for about £45 mill , as buyers we ain’t even close to doing anything like that. Tidy , efficient , keeps the ball moving , strikes me as a player Dyche can mould into a regular first teamer .

I really like this lad and hope he plays if he's fit. I'd build the team around him. Just give him an option to hit when he wins the ball.

That’s exactly what we need, we have nobody else who is tidy and keeps the ball, we don’t even have anybody who can pass it 5 yards.

Look, he's played in goal before - allegedly.
We need Pickford's height up front.
We've tried everything else.

Playing the experienced choices has put them in this mess. You might as well try unproven and hope that opportunity finds a hidden gem.

He played like once for United. Their fans wouldn’t know any better than ours about this guy. Not sure they were ‘up in arms’ tbh, maybe a raised eyebrow until they signed Casemiro and forgot all about him.
