Today was proper James McCarthy season one for me.
Won nearly every loose ball and seemed to cover everything.

Most impressed I’ve been by Garner today. I reckon he has a pretty high ceiling. Dyche obviously loves him, he’s the main man in that midfield for me atm. Gana or Onana with him.
Should never have been played RB or Right mid in the early games this season.
Seeing the best of him in his rightful position.

A seriously good player, the premier league will soon be looking to deduct us for points for stealing him from Utd.
Him and Gana managed to press and tackle high up the pitch to win the ball back. But importantly, not leave gaping holes in the middle of the pitch. We haven’t managed to do that for years.
Keeps us ticking over and is brave in the tackle too

For me it's Paul Bracewell. Effective and efficient if not (yet) a direct goal threat. Real team player who can control games from the middle of the park and allow those around him to do their jobs. We need him and Onana to develop a strong and consistent midfield pairing
