We still have enough deadwood we can move on without damaging the first team squad. Gomes on £100k a week, Keane on £80k a week, Godfrey on £70k a week. If Spurs won’t budge on Dele then need to move him on as well- if we did that’s another £100k a week. That saves £350k a week/ £18 million a year, plus if rumours are to believed a transfer fee for Godfrey could be another £15-20 million.
Would need to bring in some defensive loan/cheap signings, but that’s infinitely preferable to selling key first teamers.
