Definitely overpaid for him - hence the timing of the signing and Martinez' own admission.
Of course, at the time we didn't know we just added the surcharge on to Fellaini's fee
I thought there was a rule on inappropriate language, ya bunch of hypocrites
And didn't Martinez say he'd have paid twice as much for him? 13 million is a steal either way
13 million is looking a snip now.
Furture Everton captain, although you could say that about a few of them at the moment, including Ross and Stones.

It's sad how you've become all misty eyed over Martinez, and let that affect your normally better judgement on kenwright. Evertonians like you may well accept it, I'm sure McCarthy can help fire us to our 10th place finish, that you've already stated you're not bothered about.
I want more than that, I expect more than that, and the business we have done is far from "perfect". Next summer when Lukaku goes back, and we're stuck with a 30/31 year old striker leading our line (kone) we will regret wasting all that money on McCarthy, when we should have brought a striker/more creative player.
Martinez/Kenwright have been stupid enough to spend more money on a championship player, than Spurs did for Eriksen. McCarthy was never worth more than 8. Given we only got 27/28 for Fellaini, we should not have paid more than 10.
We have been mugged, but some fans will lap it up, just like home draws to West Brom or Stevenage, if you tell them it's a new "attacking style". We invented attacking football long before Kenwright and Martinez came. Nil Satis Nisi Optimum, ponder on that for a bit, before judging business as perfect.
We underpaid.
