....I don't know whether he's obliged to do that, especially as he finished the game. I'd be surprised if he's not facing a short spell on the sidelines.

That's my point really. Not particularly about Italian football, but that he's the kind of player that could play at any level. Brains, skill, athleticism and relentless will to win make for a pretty solid top level footballer. Coleman is the same but more raw. Even this weekend they were tag teaming people by kicking them in the shin until they could nick the ball, it's great. Any manager would love those two.

That's my point really. Not particularly about Italian football, but that he's the kind of player that could play at any level. McCarthy is switched on at all times. It takes a massive level of focus and discipline to do what he does game after game. That wont have gone unnoticed.

Martinez had it spot on when he arrived for £13M, saying he'd be sold for multiple times that amount.
