He should not be brought back this time before he has fully recovered from his hammy.

I hope the penny has finally dropped with RM that he has been bringing players back too soon from injury. This goes back to the derby last season when we fielded a team of walking wounded.

Also players should have to fight for their place when they return, as was the case under Moyes. No guarantee of a starting berth can only encourage competition for places.
LOL

Possibly. We don't know who is to blame. Are these medical staff new or are they always been there ? Because if it is the latter it would seem odd that recently there has been an epidemic of hamstring injuries.

Ultimately it is manager's decision whether to play them or not though.
They said during the City match Martinez's teams have had more hamstring injuries in the last 3 years including Wigan than any other team in Europe. Considering Martinez had been on record stating he doesn't believe in soft tissue (someone messed up If they get them) injuries it's a bit disconcerting, no?

Do you have a source for this? Interested to read
I can't remember the exact stat but I think they said something like 20 hamstring injuries to 11 players since he has been in charge?

twas during the City match on television. NBC stream if that helps, i THINK first half.. It was said in passing, they didnt really dwell on it. But its quite large.

Yeah I heard that live, was a huge number - I meant a source for Martinez saying he didn't believe in soft tissue injuries
I used the Google for myself and found a few articles though, realised I'd heard the comments he made before

We need Purple Aki on the payroll and on the pitch before kick off making sure everyone's squatting properly or this problem ain't going away.
